Letter from The Editor, Issue 002.

“Real is rare.” Not because authenticity doesn’t exist, but because it requires something most people are taught to hide. To be real is to be seen. Fully. No edits, no performance, no waiting for approval.

And if you’re a creative, you know how vulnerable that is. Sharing your work means exposing a piece of yourself by opening it up to opinions, critique, and misunderstanding. It’s sensitive and it’s personal. But you share it anyway.

That choice is courage. That is what being real looks like.

The stage name Nydja Unlocked comes from once feeling hidden, afraid to share myself with the world. I know from personal experience what it takes to choose being authentic

Being real isn’t perfect. It’s existing without apology. It’s choosing not to shrink yourself just because someone might not understand you.

NU exists to amplify those voices. The honest ones. The evolving ones. The ones that feel a little too real to ignore. If this issue makes you feel seen, understood, or even challenged, then I did my job.

Because real is rare.
